It's a great myth about Greenland that it has greenery all around and everywhere there are green trees and gardens. This myth is just because of the name "Greenland". In actual it is not the case. Greenland is all about Ice, Icebergs, Polar bears and all about ice.

Greenland is said to be the most peaceful country of World. It is located in North America. It is famous for it's cool beauty.

As it is the country full of ice so the most of part of this country is covered by ice, mainly the ice sheets. According to the recent survey 1.8 million km square land of Greenland is covered with ice sheets. These ice sheets are on several height above the sea level. These ice sheets are said to be the identity and beauty of Greenland. The highest ice sheet is said to be 3000 m above the sea level. this is the thing which one can not witness any where else in the world.

The total area of this country is so big. It is about 2,175,600 km square, which is huge. So huge that most of the European countries combinely do not have this much area. 

But around 341,700 km square of the area is completely covered with ice. There is zero live there and other most of the area is dangerous due to climate change.

Other than ice sheets the other ice beauty of Greenland is icebergs and glaciers. Greenland is full of glaciers. In almost every area of Greenland you can find glaciers. These glaciers produce icebergs in different seasons. Usually these glaciers produce icebergs in the summer. Large number of visitors move to these glaciers to enjoy the beauty. The glaciers and icebergs of Greenland are so unique in shape, size and color that you can not find icebergs like those anywhere else.

Moving forward to talk about the population of this country. This country is very large in size, but population here is not high in number. It is due to the fact that most of the areas of Greenland are covered with ice and live do not exist on such places. Some places are covered with ice, 12 months  a year whereas some places do not have ice but population can not survive there because of climate change. Climate change is a risk factor in Greenland. There is no time for that and it may results in huge damage. So the population according to recent survey is just 55,000 which is very very less. The peace of Greenland is mainly due to its low population. There are only 16 towns in Greenland and everybody live with peace there. This country has also successfully maintained peace with the rest of the world.

The population of this country is soo less that its capital only has 16500 citizens living in it. Where we are talking about population it is necessary to talk about the national language of Greenland. So Danish is the national language of Greenland whereas English is 2nd language.

As we have mentioned earlier that Greenland consists up of 16 towns. These 16 towns are the major towns of Greenland. The most interesting thing about these towns are that none of the town in Greenland in inter connected with roads. There is natural barrier between these towns. Sometimes there exists freezed rivers between them and the other time mountains served as a barrier. So from this we can conclude that Greenland is no doubt a great country with full of natural freezed beauty but travelling is the problem there.
